The 21th april come to see the creative residency at "La Cité" with Vincent Jeannerot and his students.
Master of botanical watercolor, his passion and his unique technique allow him to create seasonal fruits and vegetables that can be crispy… on paper!
Vincent Jeannerot, who takes part in national and international exhibitions, teaches in his own gallery in Lyon as well as in many other places around the world. He has been invited on March 17 and April 21 at the Cité to work with his students on his “botanical art” under the Dôme des Quatre-Rangs. This will be an opportunity for our visitors to witness the in situ creation of original watercolors.
From March 17th 2020, works by Vincent Jeannerot will be permanently visible in the Gastronomy space located on the 3rd level of the Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie de Lyon.
The botanical watercolors of Vincent Jeannerot convey the emotion he feels when he transcribes nature to the smallest details. He paints the pure and natural beauty of life, with its balanced tones and nuances, thus awakening our own emotions.
Enter a world of culinary experimentation created especially for children. Take your place in the food basket with the season’s fruit and vegetables, inspect the inside of a giant mouth to understand the food cycles, follow the bee Ruchette on the path to the origin of food, spend time in the kitchen to prepare delicious recipes for your taste buds and health… Here, you are allowed to play with your food!
La Cité acts as host to temporary exhibitions and spotlights artists and topical issues, inviting the public to discover original creations on various different subjects, such as contemporary art, food habits or even history and technological innovations. An invitation for dialogue and for sharing.
